This Lumia may never reach U.S. shores, but it is winning plaudits from reviewers on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Lumia 620 is a budget-minded Windows Phone 8 model, retailing for $236 (that's before contract discounting). It features a 3.8-inch display (800 x 480), a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and 8GB worth of on-board storage (Microsoft chips in 7GB of free SkyDrive cloud storage too). This is a fashionable phone, with bright, colorful interchangeable shells to customize the look the 620.
Some reviewers weren't that pleased with the results from the Lumia's camera but the only major concern expressed was the lack of Windows Phone app (a problem that currently bedevils all Windows Phone models). Yet given its extremely inexpensive price tag, solid specs and performance, most reviewers were enthusiastic about the Lumia 620's ability to win over more than a few consumers to the Windows Phone ecosystem.
