Apple's 13-inch MacBook Pro is the latest product to enjoy the benefits of a high-resolution 'Retina' display (found in the new iPad, the 15-inch MacBook Pro and the iPhone). That's 2560 x 1600 or 227 pixels per inch packed into the MacBook's 13-inch screen. The base model boasts a 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor (configurable to a Core i7 2.9GHz chip), 8GB of RAM, and 126GB of flash memory storage.
Weighing in at 3.57 pounds, the MacBook Pro sports a 720P webcam for video calls, two Thunderbolt outputs, two USB 3.0 outputs and an SDXC card slot. Apple says you can squeeze about seven hours worth of wireless Web surfing out of the MacBook Pro's battery.
The MacBook Pro 13-inch with Retina display starts at $1,699 and gets more expensive from there.
Reviewers were generally enthusiastic about Apple's newest laptop, but some were disappointed with the high price vs. the performance it is capable of.
