Sony's PRS-T2 e-book reader faces stiff competition - both from tablets and from rival e-book readers from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. This light weight reader (just six ounces) boasts a 6-inch touch screen, e-Ink display, Wi-Fi and a built-in stylus. The T2 is integrated with Facebook and Evernote, for social networking buffs, along with two English language and four foreign language translation dictionaries. If you shut off Wi-Fi, you can enjoy a whopping two months worth of battery life, Sony claims.
There's 2GB of onboard memory with a microSD card slot for adding more capacity. It retails for $129. If you buy the black model (and only black, for some reason), you'll also get a free coupon for "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."
Reviewers weren't terribly enthusiastic about Sony's effort. While they really liked the Evernote feature, few though the PRS T2 could hold its own against the big boys in the category - Barnes and Noble's Nook and Amazon's Kindle.
