Between Samsung's Galaxy S III, HTC's One X and now LG's Optimus 4X HD, smartphone shoppers looking for powerful Android phones now have an embarassment of riches on their hands. LG's entry into the sweepstakes, the aforementioned Optimus 4X HD, delivers top-shelf specs, including a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, an NFC chip, quad-core processor, 8-megapixel camera and Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
The Optimus 4X HD measures in at 5.2 x 2.68 x .35 -inches and weighs in at 4.9 ounces, so it's by no means unobtrusive.
While noting the stiff competition from the likes of Samsung and HTC, reviewers were overwhelmingly positive about LG's latest stab at smartphone leadership. Now all it needs is a U.S. carrier - unless you like dropping $590 for an unlocked version.
