Sony makes another pass at a Google TV player with the $199 NSZ-GS7. Among the refinements is a new, dual-sided remote with a full-sized keyboard on one side and a touch-pad and physical controls on the other. The player supports the Google TV operating system (a version of Android 3.1) with access to video apps such as Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and other services, such as Pandora. Google's app store (Google Play) can be pulled up on your screen, in addition to a full web browser (although be warned: some content providers disable streaming from the browser to Google TV). You connect via built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet and the player packs 8GB of internal memory for downloading additional apps.
The media player hasn't been all that well received by reviewers, who complained about a buggy interface and limited apps.
