A new iPad wouldn't be complete without a new 'Smart Cover.' The new Smart Case is a twist on the original Smart Cover in that it now protects the entire iPad - not just the front. It retains the accordian-style adjustable front cover, so you can prop up your iPad in a variety of positions. It's built to fit both the third generation iPad and the iPad 2 - a design decision which caused a bit of angst amongst reviewers, who noted that the slightly thinner iPad 2 moved around a bit inside the Smart Case. At $49, it's also more expensive than comparable iPad covers, but since when were Apple fans price sensitive?
